How can these packages be sold for so little, with so much value? Because most companies in the vacation industry are well into profit at the 80% (give or take) point, they use the other 20% of their capacity as as advertising, in a way. They know that even if they do not get money for your actual stay, you will likely spend money in their gift shops, restaraunts or bars. They also hope that you return or tell your friends about their business, which is a very good deal for them- and for you! All Coastal Vacations does is bargain for and find these discounted rates and send them direct to you!

Why are the listed vacations not very specific? The complimentary vacations are not specific because these vacations are booked by independantly owned and operated, licensed and bonded travel agencies. The locations will stay the same, but the specific hotels/resorts you may be staying at can vary.

How will I know where I will be staying with Vacations? You will recieve confirmation via the company in charge of the particular vacation about where you will be staying. All locations will be at least 3 stars or more, and companies will usually work with you if you would like.

Do I need to plan in advance when I travel? It depends. For the cards, just like anything else, if you want the best deal it is always better to plan about 6 months ahead of time. However, some cards will offer "burn week" specials (especially on condo stays) that are excellent deals if you plan on traveling last minute. If you use a complimentary vacation, you will need to plan at least 2-4 months in advance (as specified on your glossy sheet). If you use a complimentary condo stay or cruise, expect to plan about 3-6 months in advance (as specified on your glossy sheet).

Are there blackout dates or other times I cannot use the vacations? Mostly no. There may be a handfull of vacations that have blackout dates, but most vacations do not. Also, to combat this potential problem, there are 4 different hotel/motel/resort cards included in the package and between them you should never have a problem with finding the right place to stay whenever you wish!

Can I share my package? Yes! Everything in the package is transferrable. You may even have an additional set of membership cards made for an additional $50.00. Some get together with family members or neighbors and purchase the package together and split the savings, even! Remember if you do this, though, that for some discounts, you MUST have your membership card with you at check-in, so if you are lending a card, make sure you get it back!

Can I sell these vacations? No. You may give away the vacations/cruises and you may use them as a fund raiser, but you may not, under any circumstances sell these vacations/cruises for personal gain.

Is this a scam? No, this is not a scam. Coastal Vacations has been around for over 10 years. We only work with the best companies in the industry, and again, most of these you have heard of. Most have a proven track record of over a decade in business, if not more, and many are publicly traded. If you are still concerned about the legitimacy of Coastal Vacations? Google us!

Is this a Timeshare? No. Timeshares cost thousand more to own, and you are not able to travel whenever you wish, as often as you want. With the Coastal Travel Package, you pay less than half the cost of most timeshares, there are no maintenance fees, and you get to travel as often as you want! No more points systems to follow!

Is Coastal Vacations registered with the BBB? No. Coastal Vacations is an association of independant business owners. It is the responsiblility of these business owners to file their Coastal business with the BBB if they so choose. You will find many of these independant directors registered with the BBB, however, and most with little or no complaints!

How Do I order a vacation or condo?

  1. Your Basic package will come with large order form of all the vacations you can choose from. To order, simply check off the vacation you would like and include $6.95 for processing.
  2. You will be sent a "glossy sheet," which is simply the vacation's specific information, booking info, and company contact info. After receiving the glossy sheet, you generally have 1-1.5 years to book your vacation.
  3. There will be instructions on how to book on the golssy sheet. Simply follow the directions to book your vacation.
  4. Expect the agency to charge a $50.00 refundable deposit to ensure you arrive at your destination.

How do I use my membership cards? Simply flip the card over and there will be instructions on the back of each card. Some cards have internet-based directories (such as Quest or Access), while others have -800 numbers or paper order forms.

How do I activate my membership cards? When you recieve your Vacation Package there will be plastic cards "dummy-cards" included. These cards are simply there as a reminder that cards are included with the package. When you are ready to activate your cards simply send the order form with processing payment in and your cards will be activated and shipped to you. **Note: The Adventure Camping Network card requires seperate activation.

Are there any maintenance fees or yearly dues I have to pay? Yes and No. There is an optional card renewal fee every year, but you are not required to renew. All of your cards will be valid for 1 year from ther activation date. After 1 year, some of the cards will expire, however some of the cards will never expire. Again, you are in no way required to renew your cards after 1 year, but it is highly recommended that you do so in order to have up-to-date information and have all of your cards available when you need them.

The cost to renew your 20+ cards is $89.95, less than $5.00 per card! If for some reason you do not want to renew your cards yearly, or you forget to renew them, not a problem! Simply send in the renewal amount and your Package ID number and your cards and directories will be renewed. This is the only maintenance fee associated with Coastal Vacations.
